They're not sappy or angsty--- they're just plain boring and draggy and they try too hard! And the ACTING. GOD-AWFUL. Ugh, thanks for the clarification! So far, acting is the only reason I haven't continued watching a drama. I mean, I know I'm in it for the crack, but it has to be convincing crack! I do love the Japanese Hana Kimi, but honestly I think that would just make me a harsher judge of other adaptations.
For me, it was such a shocker to see her in Coffee Prince where she plays such a boyish character because, like the title says, she was this kickass princess-by-marriage in Princess Hours. Ooh, that makes me even more excited for Princess Hours. I've developed quite a thing for Yoon Eun Hye and it's tough for me to imagine her as the 'princess' type. I think I may have found my next kdrama. ;)
