I would definitely recommend this movie to ST virgins! It very much reboots the franchise and changes things up anyway, so you don't need to know anything else to get the movie. It's more of a good, fun summer blockbuster than anything. Plus, a bunch of my lj friends who don't know anything at all about Trek liked it so I know it's not just me! ;)
