[22] Katara/Zuko Avatar icons. From some art done by the animation director of The Southern Raiders for a Book 2 release event. Image procured by the awesome primuler, our contact in South Korea! :D Thanks!



I think this art is gorgeous and so, more icons from me. When I found out it was drawn by the animation director of The Southern Raiders, it all made so much sense. An episode dedicated to establishing a friendship between Katara and Zuko! Where they were already animated looking a little older! The exact same color palette as the ending scene! No wonder he drew them up some Future!Art. (And of course, right after I finished these, the image came out in a slightly higher quality. Because I'm impatient. XD Damn, that would have saved me some time.)

My choice of music for the picture is Mika's Happy Ending, but that is so not important (and less happy and more angst is implied in that song)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the Death Cab. I try to resist putting by them and Stars on everything I do... but it's a losing battle. XD

Oh man, I love the music recs I'm getting on this post! I actually didn't realize I knew Mika's "Happy Ending" until I went and listened to it. That song! I can definitely see that song with this picture too.

*smiles* I'm pretty much in love with Death Cab since Gossip Girl uses 'The Ice is Getting Thinner' in Gossip Girl's finale :D

Death Cab is one of those artists that I always find myself drawn to putting on while I'm photoshopping. It's interesting but calming. Which is a) probably why I listen to them so much and b) why they end up on so much art.

I fully expect that there will be icons/fanmixes/banners/drabbles (I WANT ANGSTY FIC) centering around this picture still to come. And I'm very okay with that. ;)
