Perfume Fest '10: Kashiyuka!

topazeraSo, as I teased a little in my last entry, I have another group that has swept into my life and demanded I spread my love a little farther. It's all thanks to the adorable girls of Perfume! I've long been in need of a girl group to call my own (because every day needs more ruffles and dancing in high heels is really a whole different skillset) but the badass ladies of the kpop world always seemed a little distant from my normal circles.
Whereas with Perfume, I got to slowly circle in: seeing A~chan be amazingly tennen on VSA, reading a fanfic starring Nocchi, and finally the glory of the Arashi ∞ Perfume dance collaboration! (♥!) A show that made me sit up and say I NEED TO WATCH THE SHIT OUT OF ALL THINGS PERFUME. :D And henceforth, I was lost to the hazy land of techno and flounces and sugary laughter.
I have finally emerged, stronger but now with the word "disuko" forever echoing in my head, and ready to share! And what a better way to do that than with a CHALLENGE. phrenk and ohmyghost and HEY, there are three of us and three Perfume members! :D SO: we have each been assigned by the randomizer a member and set forth to cap their angle of the PV Macaroni a.k.a. the cutest/prettiest/best thing in your day! The twist: a 25 cap limit! I know. :D

Meet Kashiyuka! You guys, this girl. At first, my feelings towards Kashiyuka were least defined of the group. Nocchi was the first person that really attracted me, by dint of her bob cut and her wearing shorts all the time. A~chan was almost shockingly ditzy but her appeal was completely straightfoward. Yet, while Kashiyuka's list of attributes started off as only "she's cute!", it's now become the one that's filled up the fastest. Kashiyuka thinks snakes are cute. Kashiyuka loves Shounen Jump. Kashiyuka has amazing legs. Kashiyuka will step in and assist A~chan when she's about to miss something important from our world because it never made it to hers. Kashiyuka... has had a meteoric rise in my affections. SHE'S KIND OF FANTASTIC.
ANYWAY, in this PV, Kashiyuka starts off charmingly walking in the gorgeous fall coloring, twirling and smiling and generally being irresistible. But my favorite moment is when she makes eye contact with the camera for a second here. As you will see, this has become kind of a thing with me!
So this PV already right up my alley: it has autumn scenery and soft colors and little burnt-in orange flashes. AND THEN, they hand the adorable girl a camera to match her boots and tailored coat and scarf and big sparkly ring. *__* I'M KIND OF DYING OF HAPPINESS.
~DREAM GIRL~ ALERT. Basically, she spends this whole PV alternately being ~dreamy~...
And then all of a sudden, asphrenk so perfectly put it, "laughing like a five year old at an amusement park". I choose to think she was really taking pictures of the staff. ♥
And I haven't yet mentioned what the PV does with light! There's always the sun behind her: streaming over her shoulder, creating happy little lens flares, and bathing her in golden light. It suits her.
SERIOUSLY, IT'S LIKE A SUNBEAM ILLUMINATES MY HEART WHEN SHE SMILES.

You can almost hear the behind the scenes dialogue of this shot:
Director: Do a pose! Something cute!
Kashiyuka: *immediately puts her hands on her head like a moose*
Staff: *laughs*
Kashiyuka: *giggles* Was that alright?
Another turns-on-a-dime moment, one second she is all sultry with a delightful smirk on her lips...
And that suddenly bursts into her completely uninhibited smile! Her lower teeth! I love how she laughs wide enough that you can always see them.
She manages to look like she's setting off on a charming adventure when she's just walking an average back street!
She's just a master of making eye contact with the camera. It's almost TOO MUCH, sauntering towards us with this smile on her face! Watch out, gorgeousness heading your way!
Oh wait, nevermind, it was a BIG GOOFBALL. I LOOOOOOVE HER. ♥
I-I just want to carry her around in my pocket? Such a well composed shot too, this PV is so pretty!
I swear my heart twinged as I watched this. ♥
I love that her go-to pose seems to be some sort of jazz hands! SO CUTE.
And now for the most-caps-taken-per-second section: Slow-mo running! Likeohmyghost mentioned in her post, that seems like it could be cheesy (not that I ever mind cheesy running ♥) but when it's with these girls in these clothes with this coloring... LOVELY. SO CAREFREE. They had my rapt attention. :D

Ohhhhh, her smile and her hair and her twirling, I am just hopelessly overwhelmed with love!
Every frame of this was like its own little work of art. Also featuring: the seagull who flew perfectly into frame. ♥
HER SMILE IS TOO LARGE TO BE HIDDEN EVEN BY HER LONG HAIR.
I was capping this and listening to Tomorrow & Yesterday by noodles (I happily listened to MA MA MA MACARONI many, many times but it was a long process ♥) and I seriously got tears in my eyes with just how perfect this moment was.

Her scarf is still flapping because she just completed another twirl and, oh god, this was just my ideal PV in so many ways!
Epic Hair Flip! This is something new, girlbands have all this flowing hair to utlize in slow mo! :D
But, of course, we have to end on her running full stop, swinging her arms freely, laughing just as freely and then doing a final hop into the air.
AND INTO MY HEART FOREVER. Being pulled into the neverending loop that is Perfume? A good decision. ♥

adgsfhjdshgfhjkadf ALL THE SHOTS IN THE PV EVER!! After I picked my caps, I rewatched it and was so surprised at how quickly some of these moments went by! There's so much more that could have been included but it's nice to have such a lean post. ♥ I'm still curious about how you would have picked though!
This Macaroni party has brought SUCH JOY into my life. I swear I will comment on yours and Hannah's by tomorrow, I was saving that to reward myself when I finished but UM, it took a while. XD
