I have been on such a Nino/Gantz/Gantz-related PR kick recently. Nino on the airwaves 24/7? Nino on a movie screen? OMG SIGN ME UP, MORE NINO YES, BRING IT! So yeah, I personally needed a desktop switch for the season of Nino and I thought I'd share. :) Happy Gantz Release Day, everyone!

Notes: FUCK YEAH MY COMPUTER LOOKS BADASS NOW. As soon as I saw the AWE INSPIRING H 2011.03, I knew I had to make a stitch and Gantz up my desktop. SO GOOD! I'm mostly pleased with the final result, stitching was fun!

Notes: Please humor me and let me post an almost identical version, cropped slightly closer. Before I got into it and extended the side a little to make the original mag scan aspect match the wallpaper aspect, this was my first crop and somehow Nino's face being very slightly bigger makes a difference to me. XD

Notes: For those who don't really dig the radioactive color palette of the original magazine. XD I mean, I do, but black and white is always classy.

If anyone needs a resolution that isn't just the same aspect ratio made smaller, give me a shout and I'll make it for you! (P.S. - You can also let me know if they look too dark on your monitor? So hard to tell. :D)

absolutely gorgeous, bb!!! I still haven't gotten to see it (and won't unless they do a mass release here or I get the DVD - DAMMIT TIMING!!!) but I have a lot of the publications from Gantz and this was one of my favorite pictures. *__*

Eeeee, thanks bb!! Seriously, your timing! Who would think a few days would make you miss it in both places! *pets* I'm sure many other events made up for that though! ;) (And I'm glad to hear you made it home, your tweets-through-lj made it sound like quite the struggle!)

Though my stalking of all things Gantz/railing against the dubbing lead me to this comment by the MC of the American event: ""Anyway, the people at the top have definitely heard the sensible requests for non-dubbed versions of GANTZ 1 & 2, so stay tuned for developments!" Which, YAY PLEASE, and he also specifically mentioned Part 1. I wonder if that's just the future DVD release or if it was successful enough for them to be planning anything further.

Somehow, I thought it was coming out on the 26th, so I thought "oh well, I'll just see it there." And then I realized and I was like "JDKJLFJLG GOD DAMMIT."

Which, if I'd decided to extend to that date anyway, I still would have had trouble coming home, would have had my rail pass expired (since the start date was reliant on the concert) and other things. XD

I really hope it gets a nationwide theatrical release. Subtitled. DAMMIT. SUBTITLES. DO IIIITTT. I knew the dub would be shit the minute they said they were doing it simply because the timing just...wasn't there.

H and the Visual Book were BOTH solid investments *___*

Seriously, it's so hard to keep in mind that the American event happened so many days before the Japanese national release. Whaaaat. So your planning fail seems totally reasonable!

DO ITTTT! I am obviously still in FINGERS CROSSED mode but just a comment from someone loosely connected to the distributor and the avalanche of WOW WAS THAT EVER A CRAPPY DUB comments on the internet following the release has me tentatively hopeful. I really hope they do show Part 1 in a broader theatrical release and that was a (successful, I hope!) test run!

UNF, I have seen previews from the Visual Book and MY GOD! That whole thing really needs to get into my eyes ASAP. *__*
